Indian Summer...
We've experienced an Indian Summer this November. Balmy afternoons, green grass, and many preschool trips to the park have made for a pleasant but unusual month.

November
This autumn has be wickedly warm. So warm the grass is still green. Seventy two degrees in the park on a November day. Some people like to say it's a forewarning of a heavy winter. Others claim global warming and problems to come. I say, stop worrying over things you have no control over and learn to live in and ENJOY every moment.

Farmers Market
On Saturday the baby and I decided to venture out somewhere new. So to the farmers market we went. We enjoyed the morning staring at fresh produce, sampling expensive homemade hand creams, and people looked at me like I was a weirdo for taking pictures of their fruits and veggies. The best part was we got to see daddy.

Mini Vacation
Off we flew to Kansas City, Missouri for a wedding and a mini vacation. It was the baby's first time on an airplane and she was a champ. I guess I hadn't pictured Kansas to be so green and quaint. We enjoyed the humidity, the trees, and a fun stroll through a local art fair.

Visiting
We spent Saturday afternoon visiting a friend of mine at a peaceful Franciscan convent in North Denver. Our friend Hana made us Ethiopian style spaghetti and played with baby bean on the floor, much to her delight. I want to make sure she gets exposed to all sorts of people.

Date Night
It was my other half's birthday, so we ventured out for an overdue
date night. We took the train to the city, and oh my, has this city grown.
It's amazing to see how Denver has developed in the last twenty years.
We feasted on overpriced meat at
Fogo de Chao, sipped coffee at The Market, and
strolled through Union Station. Our evening concluded with coming homing
to a cranky baby that had refused to go to sleep. #adultlife

Growing Up
In the blink of an eye, they grow. She's four months old now and I'm impressed with all she's able to do.

Houses
I work in one of Denver's oldest neighborhoods that is known for it's antiquated and unique homes. Sometimes I like to imagine the type of families that live in these homes.

Little Pumpkin
The Dollar Tree is already selling plastic pumpkins and Halloween crap. I love it. Maya loves her new pumpkin light.
Sunny Saturday
It was a beautiful Saturday, the kid was asleep in the car, so I pulled over and enjoyed the sun and the view.

End of Summer Days...
The end of summer is coming. You can feel it in the early morning air...a crispness that wasn't there in July. You see it at Target. the hustle and bustle to buy school supplies and new lunch boxes. I like the shift of seasons, it always reminds that change is inevitable and regardless of your preferences, you can learn to adapt to anything.

School
School is a good place for children to be, even babies. Especially when your mama works down the hall and can come visit you often. It also means you end up being very popular with the big kids...

Lady Liberty
This dress costs more than anything I'd buy for myself. Luckily that's what aunties are for...spoiling.
Summer...
I like this simplicity of summer: hot days, cool nights, school gardens, flowers, and laying on a blanket in the grass.
